Kriegerseele (translation: Warrior Soul) is a small working line German Shepherd kennel located in central Illinois. Our breeding program emphasizes healthy sport dogs for primarily IGP, but also AKC performance sports and active families. Our dogs are health tested for, at minimum, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and degenerative myelopathy, and we only use dogs with normal results. Our dogs are also active sport dogs, titled or working towards titles in IGP.

 

Kriegerseele is owned by Skylar Copeland. I have owned German Shepherds since 2013, beginning with Artemis (solid black) and Athena (solid white), two females born in 2013. They were just pets/sport dogs, but they led to our family purchasing Aura in 2019, whom we intended to be the foundation of a German Shepherd breeding program. Unfortunately, we determined she was not a breeding prospect, but she still lives with us as a pet. Along the way, I discovered White Swiss Shepherds, and have been breeding them since 2020 under my kennel, Fireside Fernweh. However, after getting into the sport of IGP, I wanted a German Shepherd to train and compete with, and so I added Bria to the pack in 2024. Bria is an import of Slovakia and the foundation of Kriegerseele.
